The most famous Internet project was the game created by the genius James Halliday (Mark Rylance) - Oasis. Project participants are busy searching for 3 keys, the location of which will show Easter eggs. The author of the idea is a fan of the culture of the 1980s, whose contemporaries are almost gone. In search of clues, participants look through every movie, every book.

The main character Wade Watts (Tai Sheridan) is daily immersed in the world of virtual reality. But he does it not for the sake of the game itself, but in search of treasures.
